Edward Levy is a former Certified Public Accountant who turned to the law as a way to better help people. After serving as a Colorado Deputy State Public Defender, Mr. Levy now offers his background and trial experience to benefit private individuals. As a former CPA, Mr. Levy is uniquely qualified to represent individuals accused of white collar, embezzlement, fraud, and bankruptcy crimes whether in State or Federal courts.

As a Colorado Deputy State Public Defender and in private practice, Mr.Levy dedicates his practice to the resolution of criminal cases through negotiation or trial. Precise analysis, careful consideration, independent advice, and fearless advocacy are hallmarks of his professionalism and providing proper legal services to persons accused of criminal acts.

Mr. Levy has handled hundreds of criminal cases in various Colorado courtrooms. Whether the case is a traffic citation or a serious felony, Mr. Levy is prepared to assert your rights throughout the proceedings strongly emphasizing your trial rights in his advocacy.

While many cases can be resolved through fair and frank negotiations between an aggressive, realistic criminal lawyer and a reasonable prosecutor, not all cases can or should be resolved with a plea bargain. Effective pre-trial motions, evidence suppression hearings, and aggressive investigation of your case may better position the case for a reasonable plea bargain or for a successful trial. The right to a speedy, public, trial is an important Constitutional Safeguard which Mr.Levy strives to protect.

Mr. Levy believes that a criminal case is a life changing event for the accused person. Understanding the entire process, what events come next, and involvement with the case can make the experience less stressful and yield a more successful result. Client involvement is important and Mr. Levy works closely with clients and makes himself available 24 hours a day.

Mr. Levy has represented a wide range of individuals from white collar professionals, hard working people, to the unfortunate homeless. Mr. Levy can represent you and protect your dignity in Federal or State Courts.

Edward Levy has experience with both juvenile and adult cases. Representing minors in juvenile court proceedings takes special skill and compassion for the plight of the juvenile and his family. Juvenile crimes including weapons, gang related cases, drugs, sex assaults, and auto theft can be successfully resolved and protect the minor's future opportunities.

For adults, Edward Levy represents clients at all stages of criminal proceedings including before charges are even filed or an arrest is made. If you may be under investigation,  Mr. Levy can assert your rights and protect your ability to defend the case if it is filed.

Representation for clients includes domestic violence, violent crimes, weapons cases, sex assault, sex assault on children, drug offenses, child abuse, burglary, criminal trespass, all degrees of assault. Traffic matters including Driving Under the Influence (DUI), Driving While Ability Impaired (DWAI), Driving under Revocation (DUR), and other cases which can result in incarceration and loss of driving privileges.
